Day 8: Office

Kris: I have a small room in my apartment that’s an office. There is another
apartment that we have in this building that is our main office, so most of our
work is done in there…
Vanessa: Cool
Kris: …which is also where the new studio is going to be.

Vocabulary:
That’s: that is; you’ll notice that sometimes he uses the contraction, and
sometimes he doesn’t; both are fine options
To be done: is worked on; this doesn’t mean only “to be finished”; we can use it to
mean the process of doing work
Cool: native speakers often use this word as a filler expression; it doesn’t always
mean “amazing” or “great”; it can just mean “I am listening to you”
