Day 15: New York

Vanessa: Where do you live in New York?
Charisse: I live in the upper east side, which is known for being a little pricier, but
also there’s a lot of, like, museums, a lot of good restaurants. Central Park is five
blocks away.
Vanessa: That’s amazing.
Charisse: So, I think it’s a really nice spot.

Vocabulary:
To be known for: to have a well-known quality
A block: the length between two streets; this is a common term used when
someone gives directions in the US (not in the UK)
A spot: an area; a place
