Day 24: South Korea

Vanessa: Can you explain, how did that happen that you went to Korea for the
weekend pretty much?
Davey: Yeah, so some friends from college, they were getting married, and they
decided to have their wedding in South Korea, cause that’s where she was from.
And so they flew us over there to photograph that. And it was basically about a
weekend, like 3 or 4 days we spent over there.

Vocabulary:
Pretty much: about; almost; this is a casual expression
To fly someone over: when someone else pays for your airplane ticket; usually this
is for business situations
Basically: this is the same as “pretty much”; if “basically” means “about,” you can
see that Davey repeated the idea “basically about” for emphasis
